Deux Ex Human Revolution....the first fifteen minutes (Xbox 360)

Hey guys, It's Tony here again, bringing you the first fifteen minutes or so of Deux Ex Human Revolution.

Now as I say in the video, i've never played a Deux Ex game before, much to the chagrin of some of my friends. So i've plumped in after some recommendations from some Twitter buddies (thanks guys). And this is meant to be a prequel, so I can play the other games afterwards...yippee!

I'm beavering my way through the first mission, and I have to say that if it continues in the way that it is, i'll be high;y impressed. Expect a review as soon as i've finished a playthrough of the game....however long that may be.

And if you really want to experience the first fifteen minutes yourself...don't play the fucking video! There are no spoilers, I didn't want to completely ruin it all for you....I stop when the action starts really, so watch with confidence.

Deux Ex Human Revolution is available now for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Run & Gun - Episode 5 - Homefront commentary feat. Gamefreakblog

Hey guys, thanks for popping by my wee corner of the interweb again.

Today, if you haven't already watched it on my youtube channel, i'm bringing you a guest commentary that I had the opportunity to do this week. It's for a great Youtube/Twitter buddy of mine called Mattshotcha. He has a great channel where he puts up some absolutely killer Homefront videos. You remember Homefront don't you? It's that great game that everyone ignores over anything to do with Call of Duty.

One of Mattshotcha's series is called Run & Gun, where he goes into some fantastic detail about how to play on certain maps, weapons, spawn details....it really is one of my favourite series on YT, and he has some great montage videos in his Grindhouse gameplays as well.

So please, check out the commentary I did for him, and of course let me know if you enjoyed it, I appreciate all feedback.

And you can check out Mattshotcha's Youtube channel right here!

Gamefreak favourites: Splinter Cell Double Agent Ellsworth Prison level ...

Hey guys, another day, another video. In this Gamefreak favourites video i'll be looking at Splinter Cell Double Agent, specifically the Ellsworth penitentiary level, which is the one that stuck with me the most from the game.

Splinter Cell DA isn't completely terrible, but it's no Chaos Theory! It's worth playing just for this level alone, and I guess you can pick up the game for around a fiver right now. My problem was the whole appeasing two different factions within the game, and pissing about in the bad guys headquarters. Sam Fisher is a bad-ass killing machine...don't get him doing fucking chores!

Anyhoo....it's a great level, so enjoy.

And as always, your thoughts are appreciated.

Gamefreakblog looks at the El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron demo (X...

Hey guys, thanks for tuning in. In todays video i'm looking at the recently released demo for El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron. It's absolutely beautiful to look at, pretty fluid to play (even though i don't comeplete the demo) and for me it's definately arrived on my radar.

If you have played the demo at all, let me know your thoughts. It's available right now, so go ahead and get downloading.

And i apologise for the terrible Alan Rickman impression....it'll never happen again.

Gamefreakblog looks at the Driver San Francisco demo (Xbox 360)

Hey guys, it's Tony here, with a brief look at the new demo for Driver: San Francisco. It's Driver as we know it, with some kind of new Quantum Leap body-swapping dynamic introduced, which I can't tell at this early stage if I think is refreshing and unique or balls out dumb. It's avaiable for download now, so you can be the judge yourself.

Driver: San Francisco is scheduled for release on September 2nd, 2011.

Gamefreak favourites: Final fight (XBLA) Stage 2: The subway.

Hey guys, it's time for another in the Gamefreak favourites series. It's another retro one, and probably my last retro favourite for ewww.....at least a week or two. This time, i'm looking at the classic side scrolling basher "Final Fight", chewing my way through the second stage of the game, the subway. I bloody love this level, and if you don't i'll kick your head off!

Cause that's how I roll innit!!

Enjoy my friends.

Hey guys, another video, another Gamefreak favourites, and this time it's the retro classic, Golden Axe. You've all played it...at least, I fucking hope so. So enjoy this, my trip through stage 4, "Fiends path".

Which is conveniently on the back of a giant Eagle.

Which has an infestation of skeletons. Well...better than mites I guess...

Battlefield 3 - Official Multiplayer Gameplay Trailer

No words needed. Bring it.....

Gamefreakblog presents the complete playthrough of the Resistance 3 demo...

Hey guys, Tony here, bringing you (as you can probably tell from the title) the playthrough of the recently released Resistance 3 demo that was bundled with the Blu-Ray "Battle for Los Angeles". The film itself, apart from a few parts, is essentially bollocks, so you have to ask yourself is it worth me shelling out £15-20 for the film Just to play through the demo. I've done it for you (I know...i'm too kind) so have a watch and see what you think. It's Resistance through and through, but I have to admit I did enjoy it. It does absolutely nothing new, but what it does it does well.

Resistance 3 is scheduled for release on September 9th, 2011.

Gamefreakblog video review: 007 Blood Stone Xbox 360

Hey guys, Tony here. This is the first video review for my wee blog, where I look at 007 Blood Stone, the 3rd person cover based shooter that some of you may have missed. Release in November of last year, it's a fun, exciting, if generic shooter, so watch the vid for my thoughts.

And of course, your feedback is appreciated.

Gamefreak VS Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam. Do you get gamer's block?

Do you suffer with getting back into games? After not indulging in Call of Duty for a week do you find it hard getting back into the swing of things? Well you're not alone, you're just one of millions of sufferers of "Gamers block", the phenomenon of getting your ass handed to you for several games in a row after taking a break from certain genres of games. It's completely real, even though I've just made it up, and this video is a demonstration of the illness.

I haven't played Battlefield Vietnam in an age, and this, the first game I've had in months is a text-book example of the phenomenon. Aside from a few great kills, the round was pretty much a non event from the start.

If you have also suffered from gamers block, you're not alone. Call the following free phone number for more advice on how to deal with being completely shit at games for the first hour in coming back to them.

Gamefreak favourites: Killzone 3 Icy incursion "Frozen shores" level

Here's ANOTHER Gamefreak favourites for you lovely people. This time it's Killzone 3, and the cold, icy chapter "Frozen shores", which sees our hero rescued by his team mates who then take him on a rescue mission.....via the medium of blowing the living fuck out of a couple of oil rigs along the way.

I didn't mind Killzone 3. It was short, the story was a mess and it was a bit generic, as I covered in my original review. But it's still worth playing through at least once.

I have a couple more levels from the game that I really liked, so if you liked watching this, stay tuned.
